As a Junior IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the IT infrastructure that powers our innovative payment solutions. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy individual with a passion for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional internal support. You'll be working alongside a team of IT professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations, tackling hardware and software issues, and contributing to the stability and security of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining and updating company devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Support the setup, modification, and deactivation of user accounts and permissions according to company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and any IT incidents, contributing to a knowledge base to improve future support efficiency.
- Support the IT team in monitoring network performance, assisting in troubleshooting connectivity issues, and helping ensure uninterrupted network access for employees.
- Help with the configuration and installation of new hardware, such as workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices, for both in-office and remote employees.
- Enforce IT policies and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, assisting in the identification and mitigation of security risks.
- Track and manage IT assets and supplies, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and well-maintained.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in IT support or a related role, ideally within a technology-driven or fintech environment (preferably 1+ years).
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., IP, DNS, VPNs).
- Experience with common software applications.
- Experience with MacOS MDMs (e.g. Kandji)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
