Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring and Review: Develop and implement robust procedures to regularly monitor and review payment performance and acceptance rates. Ensure that our payment processes are running smoothly and effectively by identifying and resolving any potential issues before they impact customers.
- Tool Development and Automation: Build and maintain tools such as Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, automated testing scripts (using tools like Testim.io), and APIs to streamline and enhance our payment operations. Leverage these tools to provide insightful data and automate routine tasks.
- Rules Engine Configuration: Set up and configure rules engines to trigger alerts and notifications based on deviations or anomalies in payment performance. Ensure that all alerts are accurate and timely, enabling quick responses to potential issues.
- Incident Management: Integrate with tools like Opsgenie for incident management and real-time alerts. Implement a structured incident management process that enables swift resolution of any issues that arise within the payment infrastructure.
- Continuous Testing: Automate and run tests at regular intervals (e.g., every 15 minutes) to ensure that payment APIs are functioning optimally. Identify and address any weaknesses in the payment process before they can affect the user experience.
- Optimization and Scaling: Identify areas for performance optimization and scalability within the payment infrastructure. Proactively work to enhance system efficiency, ensure scalability to support business growth, and maintain optimal performance under varying load conditions.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in payment operations, payment systems engineering, or a related role, with a focus on performance monitoring, optimization, and reliability.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining BI dashboards, automated testing tools (e.g., Testim.io), APIs, and incident management tools (e.g., Opsgenie).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and performance optimization.
- Automation Expertise: Experience in automating tests and processes to ensure payment systems operate with maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Incident Management: Familiarity with incident management processes and tools, with the ability to quickly respond to and resolve incidents.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams to ensure smooth payment operations.
