A forward-thinking Fintech enterprise leading the charge in revolutionizing payment practices is actively seeking a Travel Operations Manager to join our company. Our company stands as a pioneer in developing cutting-edge solutions and products that empower both individuals and enterprises, fostering seamless digital financial journeys.
We are establishing a new travel agency and we are looking for an experienced Travel Operations Manager to run it. This role requires the ability to set up and manage the travel agency, ensuring efficient and cost-effective travel and accommodation arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the travel agency, overseeing all travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Coordinate and book flight tickets, hotel accommodations, and transportation. Arrange hospitality services, including restaurant reservations, event venues, and special event planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, and other service providers. Negotiate contracts and secure cost-effective, reliable travel and hospitality services.
- Utilize travel management systems and tools to streamline booking processes and ensure efficiency. Implement and maintain travel policies and procedures.
- Ensure the travel agency operates within budget, optimizing cost efficiency without compromising quality. Monitor and report expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide guidance and support regarding travel policies, procedures, and best practices. Address any travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
Mandatory Requirements:
Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:
- Educational Path A: Graduate of a recognized higher school of tourist studies or holder of a University Degree in tourism, and with at least one year of working experience in a travel agency.
- Educational Path B: Holder of a University Degree (in any field), with at least three years of working experience in a travel agency.
- Educational Path C: Graduate of a sixth-grade school of secondary education with at least seven years of working experience in a travel office, airline, or shipping company, mainly in departments dealing with tourist and travel activities.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong expertise in travel arrangements, including airline ticketing, accommodations, and hospitality services.
- Established network with travel operators, airlines, hotels, and other service providers.
- Proficient in travel management systems and tools, with experience using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Galileo.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience managing vendors and securing cost-effective deals.
- Excellent communication abilities, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with IATA processes and systems will be a significant advantage.
